Sandy Ho grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney Australia and spent most of her time in the kitchen with her mum perfecting her Vietnamese culinary skills. Widely travelling at a young age, she found a great love for food from all over the world and has a ‘try anything once’ attitude. After finishing a BA in Fine Arts, Sandy relocated to Melbourne where she realised her hobby in the kitchen became a real life dream career and left the artist life to learn about food. She headed the kitchen team at Non for Profit bar Shebeen where her flair for menu and recipe planning also led her to move into private catering for many large and small scale events in the Melbourne area. Her interest lies in the use and care of local and sustainable produce which has given her the opportunity to travel, meet and collaborate with the makers of our food. Sandy joins The Sailing Collective with an agenda to spark positive sharing of flavour and food all around the world.

The Dufour 405 Grand Large combines a sweet performance hull and rig with a classic yacht-style interior. The old adage says that whenever you have two boats sailing in the same direction, you have a race. While casual cruisers may deny this, many of us love to see just how well this boat sails in comparison to others. The cockpit is well laid out for handling the sheets with the mainsail trimmed on a winch on the cabintop and the genoa on large cockpit winches that are at a good height and easy to crank. The interior is finished in a mahogany-colored wood called Moabi that has an attractive and traditional feel. The cabin sole is a modern Moabi veneer instead of the traditional teak and holly pattern.
The CRUISER 51 easily adapts to all crew sizes. The CRUISER 51 can be tailored to the individual needs of her owner – she can comfortably accommodate up to six people in the standard 3-cabin version, eight people with the additional cabin starboard cabin or 10 crew members in the optional 5-cabin version. She is one of the most popular privately owned BAVARIA yachts – probably one reason why she is also one of the most popular charter yachts in the world is that she is hard to beat when it comes to comfort and optimum sailing performance.
